Chapter Fourteen

“I think we need to let her have a break, guys,” Michael said a few minutes after we all collapsed in a pile. I crawled off Michael and stood up, only to find my legs didn’t want to support me.

“What the hell?” I asked as Tristan caught me against his chest with a quick move.

“It’s just a side effect of a good fucking.” He grinned down at me, all charm and nonchalance. “Your legs are just tired, Nicolette. Why don’t you sit on the couch, and I’ll find you another drink and order us all something to eat.”

“I’ll make my way to the bathroom first, I think. Excuse me, fellas.” I pushed away from Tristan’s hard but oh-so-wonderful chest and wobbled my way down to the bathroom. I could feel muscles I didn’t even know I had protesting but thought a few minutes of rest would make them shut up. I hoped.

I cleaned myself up with a quick shower, wrapped myself in another towel from the stack by the walk-in shower, and couldn’t help but look at myself in the mirror.
